www.leighcc.co.uk  All-Rounder  Awards for 2006

To remind you, again, of previous awards, Garry Wood has won it twice with an all-round rating of 4.0 (that is a batting average of four times his bowling average) in 2002 then in 2004 with 1.73.  Dave (now Tunbridge) Wells cleaned up in 2003 with a top class batting average of 43, plus 16 wickets at 20.7 giving him an all-rounder rating of 2.1.  Last year, 2005, saw "Marvellous" Martin Parfett with a batting average of 34.6 and a bowling average (18 wickets at a very tidy) 15.6 collect an all-rounder rating of 2.21.

Here are the awards for 2006~

Again setting the qualification at 200 runs and 12 wickets, keeps the list down to just four candidates this year and our champ is none other than Dave 'Not Outs' Maslin who got 12 wickets at 14.92 and 280 runs at exactly 40 (thanks to all those lower-order not outs!) giving him an All-Rounder rating of a splendid 2.68.  Well done, Dave!.

Bishop is runner-up with 1.43 and new superstar Anthony Mills close behind with 1.16.  Last year's winner, Parfett, was fourth with 0.98 this year.
