Leigh Cricket Club,  Kent                                       2003 season

2003 National Grand Draw  - WIN A 2-COURSE MEAL FOR 2!!

We have a chance to raise £1,000 for the club through participating in the Cricket Foundation’s National Grand Draw.

It works like this:

·         The Cricket Foundation is a national charity chaired by Ossie Wheatley  (see www.cricketfoundation.org.uk) - they have supplied the tickets and organise the draw

·         Prizes are donated by sponsors ECB, so ….

·         ... we get to keep ALL the money we raise from selling tickets

·         We have been given 1,000 tickets to be getting on with, which means we can raise £1,000

·         There are 30 prizes ranging from £5,000 cash (First Prize) to £25 cash prizes at the bottom (there is even a case of Scrumpy Jack offered – 22nd prize – to keep our 1st XI skipper interested)

·         Tickets should be sold by Sunday 27 July and the money returned to Ian Harris –  then the draw is made in September.

·         The money raised can be used for a variety of qualifying purposes, including new ground equipment (we have just had the motor roller re-engined at a cost of £1,700, an essential investment to keep play going here at Leigh).

AND TO ADD A LITTLE INTEREST, WENDY & MIKE AT THE BAT & BALL HAVE KINDLY AGREED TO PROVIDE A PRIZE OF A 2-COURSE MEAL FOR TWO FOR THE  MEMBER WHO SELLS THE MOST TICKETS - so get selling
